Had a wonderful time kayaking! This is the best experience I've had and I’ve rented kayaks many times. The owner is friendly and the fact that you can start from their private property makes it even better than other kayaking rental companies. I highly recommend Rural Rivers for anything outdoors!

Sturgeon River

Paddling the Sturgeon River is highly dependent on precipitation levels throughout the Year.

Low river conditions make it quite unfavorable for boats. Beaver Dams and low/shallow spots, as well as algae and plant life also contribute to the difficulty.

When the water is low, it can be difficult to get from the  Cunningham Bridge to Big lake.
